in 2018, A Bamber Bridge away game took us to Borough Park in
Workington. A ground now sadly under demolition before a new
Stadium rises from the Ashes. On that day eight years ago. I
immediately decided it was the best non League Ground I'd visited, and
it still is. Simply because the stadium had become an aging relic
of the past. Just oozing character, a proper old school football
ground. That visit inspired me to research some of the other old, or
lost stadiums in the UK and particularly in The north West. Below are
links to many of these Stadiums and the history behind them.
